Every day, millions of medications and consumables need to be delivered to doctors and nurses in the hospital environment. With their numerous departments, these organizations cannot overlook inventory management. The organization of hospital services is as follows: each department has its own pharmacy, which is supplied by a central point.
At UBI Solutions, we have developed an E-Kanban solution that enhances stock management in the hospital setting.
The solution is already deployed in certain hospitals and offers customized configuration to increase relevance.
Our electronic label solution optimizes your real-time replenishment processes by associating product/pharmacy/quantity/date. Through the connection of the BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) label to your ERP system, stock information can be retrieved in real-time. In case of stockouts, a single button press is enough to trigger the order, ensuring swift and secure management.
How does it work?
When a product is out of stock, the operator presses a button on the label to trigger an alert. A change on the label can also indicate pending restocking. Once the alert is triggered, it’s automatically sent to the responsible person in charge of replenishment for the concerned store, informing them of the need to generate an internal order.
What elements constitute this solution?
What are the benefits of such a solution?
The utilization of BLE labels greatly simplifies inventory management, enabling control over requests with a simple button click. Furthermore, the solution contributes to cost reduction by minimizing errors.
The E-Kanban solution offered by UBI Solutions ensures the reliability and optimization of processes, resulting in significant time savings. It also enhances the ergonomic aspects of work, a critical factor in fields demanding expertise in healthcare and logistics.
