Wonderbox: Ensuring accurate inventory of gift sets
Wonderbox is a French company based in Paris, belonging to the Multipass group, specializing in gift boxes and the sale of leisure activities over the Internet. Founded in 2004, the group is present in several European countries. In 2022, Wonderbox expanded to several countries, offering a wide range of experiences. With an extensive network of points of sale, Wonderbox offers a diversity of items, guaranteeing memorable experiences for all tastes.
Wonderbox implemented a solution enabling its sales staff to ensure reliable and accurate inventories of gift box stocks in each sales outlet. In this way, Wonderbox aimed to optimize inventory management, prevent overstocking and automate supply according to the actual needs of each sales outlet.
The issue:
Given the obsolescence of the application, modernization was necessary, a task entrusted to UBI Solutions, experts in solutions dedicated to the retail sector.
The solution :
A mobile application to carry out inventories by scanning the RFID tags on the boxes. The data is transmitted to the UBI Cloud platform, providing views of inventory by point of sale. In addition, daily data feedback is provided to the customer’s ERP system, ensuring constant synchronization and optimal inventory management.
The implementation of RFID tags on boxes enables precise identification of items. Mobile RFID terminals connected to Android smartphones simplify operations such as inventory taking, stock receipt validation and shipment management. The deployment of UBI Cloud enhances quantity control at store receiving and optimizes shipment preparation, contributing to more efficient inventory management.
Results :
Since the redesign of the solution for their inventories, everything has become simpler for Wonderbox’s sales teams. This modernization has optimized inventory processes, saving teams valuable time and increasing their productivity. What’s more, by improving the application’s user-friendliness, we anticipate a reduction in errors during inventory operations, thus contributing to more accurate stock management.
